Southpaw offers a wide range of surgical services. Drs Drake, Dejnozka, and van den Brand have over 60 years of surgical experience combined and have performed such complex surgeries as (heart), (hernia), (knee), etc…on various species from dogs and cats to birds and other exotics and wildlife.

We pride ourselves not only on our expertise with complicated surgical procedures, but also with the level of care we provide our patients before, during, and after anesthesia. All patients are monitored by qualified staff and the latest technology, and in-house laboratory analysis and intravenous fluids are always recommended when our patients undergo anesthesia for support and recovery.

The majority of our surgeries are provided on an out-patient basis. All pets are required to be up to date on their vaccinations and a recent heartworm test for our canine patients.

Surgical admittance is between 7:30am and 8:30am, and we ask our clients to give themselves plenty of time for this process to ensure the success of the surgery and well being of their pets.

Please download and complete the surgical release form and bring it with you. However, please remember that a staff member must completely review your release form before you leave the building in order to confirm that all questions and concerns have been addressed.

We do not accept surgical release forms prior to your arrival. Payment is due at the time each patient is released from our care into yours.

Please contact us with any questions or concerns you may have regarding your pet’s procedure.

We serve dogs, cats and exotic animals.
